Victory in Spain and a top-five finish in Kerpen for CV Performance Group X JP Motorsport

CV Performance Group X JP Motorsport was represented by two drivers at two different venues last weekend. While Sebastian Verger Morell competed in the Champions of the Future Academy program at the Aspar Circuit in Spain, Max Hezel used the GK4 event in Kerpen for a guest start. Both drivers delivered impressive performances: Verger Morell celebrated a victory on Sunday, while Hezel fought his way up to fifth place after a technical setback.

Verger Morell turns up the heat on Sunday

A special challenge awaited Sebastian Verger Morell in Spain. The 1,647-meter Aspar Circuit is not yet one of the established international karting tracks, which meant the drivers had to quickly adapt to the new circuit and its characteristics.

Verger Morell already showed a strong performance on Saturday, finishing the first day of racing in third place. On Sunday, the CV driver stepped up his game significantly. He gave the competition no chance in the heats, winning every single one. Verger Morell remained in front in the subsequent final, crowning a flawless second day of racing with a first-place finish. In doing so, he made a clear statement at the penultimate event of the Champions of the Future Academy and left his mark on the Sunday races.

Hezel fights back after a defect

At the same time, Max Hezel made a guest appearance in the GK4 in Kerpen. A total of 192 participants across all classes made for a large starting field at the Erftlandring.

Hezel began the weekend with a strong fourth place in qualifying, initially creating a good starting position. However, he was slowed down by a technical defect in the first heat, which caused him to fall far behind for the remainder of the event.

The perfect response followed in the second heat. Starting from the back of the grid, Hezel fought his way up to fifth place with an impressive recovery drive. He confirmed his pace in the final as well, finishing the race in fifth place.

CV Performance Group X JP Motorsport looks back on a successful weekend and is now setting the course for upcoming events. The finals of the German Kart Championship and the ADAC Kart Masters will take place in Wackersdorf at the end of September and the beginning of October, respectively.
