CV Performance Group X JP Motorsport: Strong OK-N Comeback at the DKM Season Opener

Mülsen. One week after a successful start to the ADAC Kart Masters, CV Performance Group X JP Motorsport returned to Arena E Mülsen.

Mülsen. One week after their successful start to the ADAC Kart Masters, CV Performance Group X JP Motorsport returned to Arena E in Mülsen. At the opening round of the German Kart Championship, the team competed in the Mini and OK-N categories, as well as the KZ2 Cup. Their strongest performance came in the OK-N class: Adrian Lorenz finished sixth,while Sebastian Verger Morell completed a double top-ten finish with a strong comeback drive to tenth place.

Qualifying already demonstrated how competitive the new OK-N category was. Adrian Lorenz made a solid start to the weekend in 13th place, but suffered a setback in the first heat, finishing26th. However, the CV driver wasn't fazed. In the second heat, he showed his true pace, working his way up to seventh. He confirmed his upward trend in the Super Heat, starting the final in 11th place. With a focused performance,Lorenz continued to fight his way forward, finishing the final in a very strong sixth place. He narrowly missed out on a top-five finish, securing the team's best result at the DKM season opener.

Sebastian Verger Morell also rewarded himself with a strong result at the end of a difficult weekend. After qualifying 19th,the heats didn't initially go as planned. However, Verger Morell showed a significant improvement in the final. Starting from the back of the field, he worked his way forwrd, securing tenth place. This meant that CV Performance Group X JP Motorsport had two drivers finish in the top ten of the OK-N class.

In the KZ2 Cup, Max Hezel faced the largest field of the weekend. Forty-eight drivers competed in the shifter kart class,with only the top 36 qualifying for the final. After qualifying 40th, Hezel steadily improved in the group heats, finishing 17th, 15th, and 16th. His 11th-place finish in the Super Heat was a significant step forward, securing his place in the final, which he ultimately finished in 25th place.

For Matthias Cavulea, the main focus in the Mini class was gaining experience. In the field of 27 drivers, he engaged in exciting duels with his competitors on both race days and demonstrated a continuous improvement in performance.

Following the intense opening race in Mülsen, CV Performance Group X JP Motorsport can look back on a particularly positive Sunday. The double top-ten finish in the OK-N class, qualification for the final in the highly competitive KZ2 Cup, and valuable learning experience in the Mini class provide a solid foundation for the challenges ahead. The team's next action comes from May 29th to 31st, when the German Kart Championship makes its debut in Cheb, Czech Republic.
