Series change at CV Performance Group. For the 2022 season, the Mercedes team will enter the ADAC GT4 Germany. Two Mercedes-AMG GT4s will complete the entire season in the ADAC GT4 championship. Christian Voß’s team will field a third car at the guest races at the Nürburgring and the season finale at Hockenheim. In 2021, the team competed in the DTM Trophy. Will Tregurtha was runner-up at the end of the season. CV Performance Group also finished second in the team standings.
Leon Koslowki and Julian Hanses will drive one of the team’s cars. Koslowski successfully competed in the GTC Race in 2021. In the Goodyear 60 he became champion in the GT4 classification and in the GT4 classification of the GT Cup Sprint races he finished second. He also got to know the ADAC GT4 Germany during a guest start. Former ADAC Formula 4 driver Julian Hanses raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland for the past two years. Hanses finished the 2021 season in ninth place overall. He has also gained experience in the Porsche Supercup, which is held as part of Formula 1.
The second CV Performance Group car will be driven by Ricardo Dort and Ferdinand Winter in the ADAC GT4 Germany. The two drivers are moving up from karting into motor racing. Winter already competed in the CV Performance Group kart team for the past four years. In 2021, he finished fourth overall in the X30 senior class of the ADAC Kart Masters, which was his biggest success in his karting career.
Ricardo Dort gained some experience in karting in recent years before now switching to automobile racing. Both drivers were already able to gain their first experience behind the wheel of the CV Performance Group’s Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the GT Winter Series.
Philipp Gogollok is also moving up from karting to GT4 racing. The 16-year-old will take his seat in the CV Performance Group’s third Mercedes-AMG GT4 at the Nürburgring and Hockenheim. The team will confirm with whom the youngster will share the car at a later date.
Christian Voß is looking forward to his team’s involvement in the ADAC GT4 Germany:
“After our successes last year in the DTM Trophy, we are entering the ADAC GT4 Germany, the environment and the format is completely new territory for us. We would be happy if we can fight for one or two top positions during the season. I’m looking forward to the challenge and the large starting field in the 2022 season.”
The ADAC GT4 Germany will kick off the 2022 season at Oschersleben from April 22 to 24, preceded by the official pre-season test at the track in the Magdeburger Börde region. This will be followed by events at the Red Bull Ring, Zandvoort, the home round at the Nürburgring and the Sachsenring, before the season finale takes place at Hockenheim on October 21-23.
