Two podiums at Zandvoort

Third race weekend for the ADAC GT4 Germany at Zandvoort. The CV Performance Group fielded two Mercedes-AMG GT4s as usual and Theo Oeverhaus, who had to skip the last race weekend at the Red Bull Ring, due to a scheduling overlap, returned to the line-up.

Hanses qualified in seventh position on the grid for the first race. In the race, the #85 car gradually worked its way forward, not letting the onset of rain and a related race interruption stop it. After one hour of racing, final driver Theo Oeverhaus crossed the finish line in third position. This is the first podium finish in the ADAC GT4 Germany for Christian Voß’ team. The car of Ferdinand Winter and Ricardo Dort finished the race in 18th place.

The Mercedes-AMG team was also able to cheer on Sunday. Theo Oeverhaus took up the race from fifth position. As on the previous day, he and his teammate Julian Hanses finished the one-hour race in third position. After an unfortunate racing accident, Ferdinand Winter had to park the second car shortly after the driver change.

“We are very pleased that we were able to finish on the podium in the ADAC GT4 Germany for the first time at Zandvoort and achieved this in both races!” cheers team owner Christian Voß.

“We would like to build on this performance at the Nürburgring.”

After six races, Julian Hanses is eighth overall as the best-placed CV Performance Group driver. Ricardo Dort and Ferdinand Winter occupy seventh position in the junior classification. In the team standings, the CV Performance Group is in fifth place.

The ADAC GT4 Germany will continue on the first weekend in August at the Nürburgring. Then the team from Niederzissen plans to field a third Mercedes-AMG GT4.
